There is just the suggestion of a smile in one upturned corner of her mouth, that goes with the intense eyes, and her freckles, plus the framing her hair provides, and the sepia toning -- it all comes together and makes for a highly pleasing and almost personal portrait of a lovely woman, heretofore unknown.
